Thomson Hall
Construction on Frank Thomson Music Hall began in 1901 and it was dedicated on June 6, 1904. Its exterior is Cumberland Valley blue limestone trimmed with Seneca sandstone. It was designed by architect George Baum of Philadelphia. Originally built as a music hall, Thomson has housed music, art, psychology, and administrative offices over the years. It is named after Frank Thomson a Chambersburg native who was the sixth President of the Pennsylvania Railroad. During construction, Frank Thomson's children (Anne, Frank and Clark) donated money toward the building's completion and named the hall after their late father.
